I thought about this topic ... I ran into it here and remembered the experience of my acquaintances ... and came to the conclusion that not all these things related to BDSM are a deviation, but rather in our modern society there is often a deviation in the form well-known feminism and next to it, which it seems to me, is the reason for the emergence of the direction of dominance. What psychological relief do many alpha males in socially dominant positions experience in identifying with the submissive role. Fantasizing themselves as “liberated” from all the responsibilities that go with functioning in dominant professional roles offers them a respite from always having to be in control. And, of course, because they get to choose the fantasy material that most turns them on, they haven’t really given up control in such a way that might produce anxiety. So, despite appearing to lose control in these fantasies apparently they "control" all the aspects of the relationship. It is an interesting topic. BTW, I am not a sub but I see so many in the Community Chat room I was curious and did some reading. It seems counter intuitive for many men who are "alpha men" in life to gravitate to sub fantasies. Go figure...we humans make sexual reproduction so damn complicated! Now...why do some men love feet? :)

So perhaps you are correct, "we are what we think." On the other hand I often believe we do not have free will and there is strong evidence to support this theory. Is hard to discuss such a large topic as free will here. And there are many ways to make an argument to prove there is no free will. Let me start with two arguments.
a. Imagine a universe in which everything that happens is completely caused by whatever happened before it. So what happened in the beginning of the universe caused what happened next and so on, right up to the present. If I decided to have a meat pie at lunch one day, this decision, like all others, was caused by what happened before it.

I can' answer that because all I own is a lowly Martin LX1, the "Little Martin". I am nowhere near good enough to need a $5,000 guitar. I would eventually like to get a Gibson L1 which are no longer made but can be found for around $2,600. Good luck with your guitar shopping.

Musicians and their instruments actually develop a relationship of sorts. In my experience, I would say the guitar you should buy is the one that most draws the music out of you. When you pick it up, it doesn't want you to put it down. There are many guitars out there that are incredible for around the same price points as those Martins. (I personally want to get a Loef guitar https://www.loefguitars.fi/) Buy the guitar that you hate to put down. The sound you produce from that guitar will be far better than buying an expensive guitar for the sake of having one.
A very reasonable Martin copy is made by Saga in the Blueridge guitar line (https://www.sagamusic.com/products/guitars/blueridge/) Yes they are made in China. But wow... they can hold their own against any martin except the customs.
The new V-braced Taylors are quite nice as well.
Andrew White also has a production series which is outstanding! (https://www.andrewwhiteguitars.com/) I would only look at the guitars with four numbers as they are all solid woods. (https://www.andrewwhiteguitars.com/understanding-model-numbers/)
